4.0 LABORATORY ANALYSES
4.1 Soils
Soil samples collected from borings 3-5, 3-6, and 3-7 were analyzed for total
volatile petroleum hydrocarbons (TVPH), total extractable petroleum
hydrocarbons (TEPH), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and petroleum oil and
grease. Groundwater samples collected from the three borings and six monitoring
wells were analyzed for VOCs.
Laboratory analyses of the boring B-7 soil sample collected at 3.5 to 4.0 feet bgs identified concentrations of five
contaminants, none of which have CDPHE regulatory action levels. All five
contaminants had previously been identified in April 2005 in the nearby B-I
boring. Table I shows
these results as
well as April 2005 results for boring B-i. No contaminants were identified in
the boring B-7 soil sample collected at 10.5 to 11.0 feet bgs.
No contaminants were identified in the boring 8-5 soil sample. One contaminant,
petroleum oil and grcase, was identified in the 8-6 soil sample at a
concentration of 56 ppm, well below the regulatory standard of 500 ppm.
Laboratory reports are included in Appendix A.
