America needs an Energy PLAN-Bthat unleashes the technological power of the private
sector by forming teams for exploring the frontiers of science, engineering and
commercialization of new forms of energy. Rather than spending another $1
trillion dollars in the Middle
East, we should organize
incentives that attract capital to these kinds of job-creating enterprises.
Modern digital media such as the Internet and television offer the opportunity
to collaborate nationally on a scale never before seen in American history for
focusing on a single national goal: clean energy independence. The confluence
of many pressures makes this a good time for us to evolve our understanding and
application of the ways we use energy.
Airpark Village LLC, the
developer of a 66 city block assemblage in Fort Collins, CO is changing its project name to Energy Park One to
better reflect this target market. This Energy Park will be a mixed-use redevelopment site that will generate
more energy than it uses. To get started this project will explore the
potential of a consortium to manage a national stage, the purpose of which is
to develop renewable energy commerce.
This National Stage of
about 500,000 sf is envisioned as an economic engine that distributes its
conferencing and trade shows to a national audience. Energy Park One will begin with an initial
$200 million project as a hub for alliances with partners in technology, media,
telecom, computers, financial, engineering, construction and others. These will
interact as an R&D Consortium that operates such facilities as trade shows,
conferencing and labs. There are 350 metro areas in America and most have a large blighted in-fill neighborhood such
as airports, old malls, hospitals, schools, golf courses, factories and even
closed military bases with potential for recycling as energy parks. Urban
renewal could have a new meaning.
